Home to the historic golf resort, Pinehurst is a village in Moore County, North Carolina. Pinehurst has a large area of the village that is a National Historic Landmark District for its landscape and significance in the history of golf in the United States. The resort got its first course in 1897-1898 and now is home to nine golf courses, three hotels, a spa, and several other sports facilities.
